Western Region Player ID Event | Tucson, Arizona | 10-12 October, 2025

From October 10–12, more than 150 players representing BVB International Academy affiliates across the Western Region came together in Tucson, Arizona, for a weekend filled with competition, camaraderie, and opportunity.

Players and coaches traveled from as far as Hawaii, Washington, Idaho, Las Vegas, Arizona, El Paso, Dallas, and Colorado, along with international guests from Hermosillo and Ensenada, Mexico. It was an inspiring sight — young athletes united by their love for the game and their dream of representing BVBIA on the national and global stage.

Friday – Player Diagnostics

The weekend began with a comprehensive Player Diagnostic Testing session. Players were evaluated across multiple performance metrics, from speed and agility to technical skills. The energy on the field was electric as players pushed themselves to stand out.

Saturday – Training Day

Saturday featured two intense training sessions led by BVBIA coaches from across the region. The focus was on replicating the Borussia Dortmund academy environment — emphasizing intelligence on the ball, quick decision-making, and relentless effort. You could feel the sense of pride among the staff as they guided players through high-level drills and shared insights from the BVB Way.

Sunday – Game Day

On the final day, players had the chance to put everything together in competitive gameplay. Coaches observed not only talent but also attitude, teamwork, and leadership — the qualities that truly define a BVB player.

At the end of the weekend, each player received an evaluation based on their testing results, training performance, and gameplay impact. From this group, top players will be invited to the BVBIA National ID Event in Orlando, Florida (December 12–14, 2025). There, the best of the best will compete for selection to the BVBIA National Team — with 18 boys and 18 girls ultimately earning the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to travel to Dortmund, Germany, for the School of Excellence Trip in March 2026.

The Tucson event captured everything that makes BVBIA special — a commitment to development, community, and opportunity through the beautiful game.
